Flute Cave
 Reed
Flute Cave is about 7km to downtown
of Guilin city,
situated in the hillside of the Bright Hill
of Northwest Guilin and near the Peach Blossom
River. The cave gets its name from a kind
of reed growing at the entrance to the cave
makes fine flutes. It is 800 meters long
and takes you about fifty minutes for exploring.
It is a famous Guilin tour attraction. The
cave is one of the top AAAA Scenic Spots
and opened to public in 1962, it is most
visit-cave in Guilin even in China &
the world, is considered as "Art Palace
of Nature".
In the cave, there are
thousands of stalactites, stalagmites, stone
pillars, stone curtains, and stone flowers,
all glistening in colorful lights which
create breathtaking splendor which are really
feast of your eyes, they are given names
according to what they look like. You follow
the U-shaped route to see the different
sights including Morning Glow over Lion
Forest, Virgin Forest, Fruit and Flower
Mountain, Double Pillars Supporting the
Heaven, Crystal Palace and so on.  You
may use your imagination of their likeness.
The Crystal Palace, which the widest place
in the cave, where illuminated stalagmites
reflect in the caves natural lake is the
most impressive sights.
