Piled Silk Hill
Piled Silk Hill, which is located in the
northern part of Guilin, consists of four peaks. Its
name comes from its resemblance to piles of silk of
various colors. Because a cave passes through its principal
peak from north to south, Piled Silk Hill is also called
Tunnel Hill. The hill is thickly wooded and is dotted
with ancient structures and a large number of stone
carvings. It was already a tourist resort more than
l,000 years ago during the Tang Dynasty.
