Silver Cave

Silver Cave is a typical karst cave, runs through twelve peaks. It is a floor-type karst cave, the stalactites of different geological ages are collected together inside it, crystal clear, perfectly clean, like the Milky Way in the night sky tilting down, glowing the light of silver and diamond, so is called "Silver Cave."

Silver Cave Scenic Spot is located in Maling Town of Lipu County of Guilin, on the east side of Ligui Road, next to the No.321 National Highway, 85 kilometers away from the center of Guilin, 3 kilometers away from a Chinese famous tourism county, Yangshuo, covers an area of 1,500 acres. Opening in early 1999, it is a national AAAA level scenic spot, as well as one of the first Guilin’s civilized demonstrative tourist scenic spots, emerging as a new bright pearl in tourism circle of Guilin. It is also the largest cave in Guilin.

The mountains, springs, rocks and tombs are located in the scenic spot, and the natural and cultural landscapes are collected together in one integral whole. As the representative of the Silver Cave Scenic Spot, the natural sceneries are quiet and beautiful, and the famous historical sceneries are charming. There are broad fields in front of the spot, pretty green hills and Chaozai Mountain rise straight from the ground, acres of peach orchards scatter among the hills, the fragrance of fruit trees spreads miles during the four seasons, the quiet and chic rural scenery is delightful and restful to the spirit. The cave is divided into the road layer and the water layer, the length of the main cave is more than 10 kilometers. There is an underground river inside the cave, the water is so transparent to see the steep bottom, and the riverway is so spacious to boat. The stalactites in the cave are strangely shaped, in thousands of postures, dozens of attractions, including the deep Moon Palace, the group of gold and silver towers, the shocking overline bridge, the waterfall on snow mountain, music rock screen, Yushu Joan sticks, double-column skyscrapers are amazing. The underground river flows circuitously through the cave, the water is deep and clear that the fish can be counted, and the scenic spots along the river are colorful. Taking a boat down the river can reach the Green Lake where is outside the cave. Silver Cave Landscape takes the lead for imposing, odd, quiet and enviable features. It is praised as "the representatives of Guilin landscape", "the world karst treasure" by the caves, karst and geological experts at home and abroad.
